Juanita G. Stevens of Columbia, MO, died July 1, 2003, in Columbia.

She was born February 1, 1928 in Kirksville, MO to John Carl and Daisy Brookhart Troth.

Juanita was married to Walter Max Stevens in Memphis, MO, on June 23, 1946 and he survives.

She was a member of Missouri United Methodist Church since 1965. Mrs. Stevens was a secretary with the University of Missouri from 1966-1991, retiring as Administrative Assistant for the Provost of Academic Affairs. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, a volunteer for University of Missouri Retirement. She was an original visitor for "Reach to Recovery".

Other survivors include a son, Stanley M. Stevens and wife, Kristin B. Stevens of Wilmette, IL; a daughter, Beth Traudes and husband, Herman Traudes of Columbia, MO; a sister, Marjorie Bland of Memphis, MO; four grandchildren, Anna and Alex Stevens, both of Wilmette, IL; Erik and Cristof Traudes, both of Columbia, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Carl Troth.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, MO, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, MO. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials have been suggested to University of Missouri Sinclair School of Nursing, c/o Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Bus. 70 W., Columbia, MO.
