Dorothy Irene Norris, 67, of Memphis, MO died July 6, 2003 at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, MO.

She was born June 13, 1936, in Davis County, IA, to E. Trenton and Velma Irene Dooley, where she grew up and graduated from Davis County High School.

She married Raymond Harold Norris on July 4, 1954, at The First Christian Church in Bloomfield, IA. He preceded her in death in 1985.

She is survived by a brother, James T. Dooley and wife, Pia of Laramie, WY; three nieces, Cresta Lee Dooley-Meyer and her husband, Robert of Roto, Spain, Amber Lynn Dooley-Cassady and her husband, Brad of Centerville, IA, Erin Ashley Dooley of Laramie, WY; a chosen nephew, Dylan Wyatte Thomas of Menomonee Falls, WI; a great niece, Serena Gwyn Meyer of Roto, Spain; and a step-great-nephew, Troy Cassady of Centerville, IA. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will open Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. at the Memphis Funeral Home in Memphis, MO with the family present to greet friends between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Scotland County Nutrition Site in Memphis, and may be mailed to or left at the Memphis Funeral Home, 378 South Market Street, Memphis, MO 63555.

Funeral services will be held at the Memphis Funeral Home, Memphis, MO Thursday, July 10, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Robert Moseley officiating, assisted by Pam Glasgow. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Bloomfield, IA. Casketbearers will be Richard Stevenson, Marty Lewis, Earl Zimmerman, Travis Martin, Doran Chandler and Charles Stevenson. Memphis Funeral Home, Memphis, MO is in charge of arrangements.
