DAVID MACK KUTZNER
(4/18/1947 - 8/11/2003)

David Mack Kutzner, 56, of Ozark, MO, died Monday morning August 11 from complications brought on by his battle with Leukemia. He was born the son of Pauline Mildred (Roebuck) and George McGuire Kutzner on April 18, 1947 in Kirksville, MO. David attended Scotland County R-I schools, graduating with the class of 1965. At Northeast Missouri State University he attained a degree in business administration before going on to serve his country in Vietnam. On September 2, 1967, David was united in marriage to Pamela Olson at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth, IA. To this union three children were born, two daughters, Kristin and Rebecca and one son, Michael. David's career with Upjohn-Pharmacia took the family to various towns in the Midwest and New Jersey. In February, David retired from a successful career in pharmaceutical marketing and he and Pam moved from New Jersey to Ozark to enjoy the beauty of southern Missouri. Extremely outgoing, David had an immense passion for life. An avid fisherman and an enthusiastic golfer, he liked recounting his adventures with others. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his children and maintaining contact with his many friends. He leaves us with the gift of many memories. David was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Pam; his children, Kristen, and husband Sam Huzar of Elgin, IL; Rebecca and her fiance Jess Johnson of Atlanta, GA; Michael Kutzner of Colorado Springs, CO; one grandson, Zion; brother Dale and wife Betty Kutzner of Storm Lake, IA; sister Kay and husband Wayne Blakely of Aurora, MO; sister Sarah and husband David Myers of Memphis, MO; and several nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service was held for David on Wednesday, August 13 at the Adams Funeral Home in Ozark, MO. The body was cremated. Memorials can be made to the Leukemia Society or the Princeton Covenant Children's Home in Princeton, IL.
