Sharon Arlene Cluney, 54, of Danville, IA, passed away September 3, 2003 at her home in Danville, IA.

She was born July 31, 1949 at Keokuk, IA, a daughter of Claude and Beatrice Teter Palmer.

Sharon was married to Richard F. Cluney, Jr. on November 14, 1969, at Danville, IA.

She was a Med-Surg Unit Clerk at Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant, IA, and a homemaker. Sharon attended First Baptist Church of Danville, IA.

She enjoyed riding the trails with her horses, gardening and flowers. She loved being around people and was an excellent caregiver in her profession and had a very strong faith in God.

Sharon attended Granger, MO Elementary Schools and graduated from Memphis High School, Memphis, MO.

Survivors include her husband, Richard F. Cluney, Jr. of Danville, IA; one daughter, Trisha Cluney of the home; one son, Erick Cluney of West Des Moines, IA; her mother, Beatrice Watson of Arbela, MO; two sisters, Teresa Wurtzel of New London, and Cheryl Palmer of Brighton, IA; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.

Graveside services were held at Long Creek Cemetery on September 6, 2003 with Pastor Harry Hollingsworth officiating. Interment was in the Long Creek Cemetery, Danville, IA. A memorial has been established to Crossroads Hospice of Southeast Iowa.
