Judy Marsden Russell, 53, an Anchorage, AK, resident, died September 14, 2003, at home, as a result of cancer.

Judy was born March 6, 1950, the daughter of Helen and Reeder Marsden.

Her family wrote, "Judy moved to Anchorage in 1975 and loved it there and made it her home. She loved flower gardening and spent several hours tending her flowerbeds. In the winter months, Judy enjoyed doing crafts."

Survivors include her daughter, Erica of Anchorage, AK, and nephew, Brian Garrett of Anchorage, AK; close and dear friend, Greg Strahol of Anchorage, AK; dad, Reeder Marsden of Cantril, IA; three sisters, Sue Sommers and her husband, Bob of Luray, MO, Nan Dixon of Sanoma, CA, sister-in-law, Ginny Marsden of O'Fallon, MO, Carol Eller of Memphis, MO; two brothers, Tom Marsden and wife, Rhonda of Kahoka, MO, Howard Marsden and wife, Donna of Macon, MO; as well as several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Judy was preceded in death by her mom, Helen Marsden; and brother, Joe (J.W.) Marsden.

According to Judy's wishes, her body has been cremated and her ashes will be scattered over Montana Creek, a special place to Judy.
