LILA FERN WIGGINS
(4/26/1918 - 10/26/2003)




Lila Fern Wiggins, 85, of New Cambria, MO, passed away October 26, 2003, at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon, MO.

Mrs. Wiggins was born on April 26, 1918 in New Cambria, MO, the daughter of Guy and Fawnie Wayland Fletcher.

She married Chester Kenneth Wiggins on April 26, 1937 at Macon, MO.

She graduated from the New Cambria High School in 1937. Mrs. Wiggins was a lifelong Chariton and Macon County resident.

Surviving are one son, Dr. Larry K. Wiggins of Memphis, MO; three daughters, Elaine and husband, Booker Rucker of Jefferson City, MO, Linda and husband, Russell Putnam of Columbia, MO, Rowena and husband, Dr. Drew Zepp of St. Peters, MO; one daughter-in-law, Pam Wiggins of New Cambria, MO; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dena Allred of Laddonia, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, State Representative Gary Wiggins; granddaughter, Michelle Renea Wiggins; and grandson, Rusty Putnam.

Funeral services were held October 28, 2003, at the Gilleland and McElwain Funeral Home in New Cambria, MO with Rev. Clyde Enyeart officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery at Lagonda.
