KATHRYN MARIE BROWN

Kathryn Marie Brown, 80, of Kirksville, MO, passed away November 5, 2003, in the Northeast Regional Medical Center, Kirksville, MO.

The daughter of Buford and Vada (Merrill) Ware, she was born January 15, 1923, in Chillicothe, MO.

She was united in marriage in 1941 to Donald Brown, who preceded her in death on May 26, 1979.

Her parents and one sister, Helen Deem, also preceded her in death.

Kathryn attended school in Chillicothe, MO and graduated from the Chillicothe High School. After her marriage, she and her husband moved to Kirksville, MO with her husbandís employment with Churchill Truck Lines. She was employed by the Truman State University in the business office in the payroll department until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kirksville, MO. She was actively involved with her grandchildren and was a caregiver.

Surviving are three daughters, Carolyn Bohon and husband, Norton of Indio, CA, Connie Feeney of Kirksville, MO, and Cathy Jaco and husband, Dan of Albuquerque, NM; one sister, Dorothy Rupp of Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren, Ellen Zeytoun and husband, Walid, Michele Allen and husband, Robert, Chris Feeney and wife, Karri, Stephen Feeney and wife, Amy and Marcy Maddox and husband, Steve; eight great-grandchildren, Derek Allen, Jordyn Allen, Austin Alexander, Abigayle Feeney, Katie Feeney, Adrian Maddox, Lane Feeney and Hannah Feeney.

Our mother had a heart of gold and through her love and compassion, we will always cherish her life and loving memories. She will forever be remembered as a loving, caring and giving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

A memorial service was held November 9, 2003, in the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel in Kirksville, MO. Chaplin Dennis Smith officiated at the service. Music was provided by Dianthe Cable, organist.
