PATRIC LYNN HUDSON

Patric Lynn Hudson, 64, of rural Memphis, MO, died at his home December 20, 2003.
He was born July 3, 1939, in Washington, IA, to Richard Lynn and Audrey Marion Johnson Hudson.
He was a 1958 graduate of Brighton High School in Brighton, IA.
He married Linda Gale Cochrane on September 3, 1960, at the Oskaloosa Gospel Tabernacle in Oskaloosa, IA.
He worked for the Mahaska Bottling Company in Oskaloosa, IA for 20 years before moving to Memphis, MO, where he worked as a plant manager for the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company in Memphis, MO for the past 23 years.
Patric was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved to fish, hunt and race cars.
He was affiliated with the United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of Memphis, MO; one daughter, Valerie L. Phillips and her husband, Greg of Seligman, MO; and four sons, Richard L. Hudson and his fiancee, Rhonda Elenbaas of Arbela, MO, David P. Hudson of Memphis, MO, Bradley W. Hudson and his wife, Peggy of Arbela, MO, and Patric L. Hudson, Jr. (“PJ”) and his wife, Nancy of Memphis, MO; 13 grandchildren, James Hudson, Brandon Elenbaas, Trevor Hudson, Gordon Hudson, Emery Phillips, Ashley K. Hudson, Lindi Phillips, Ashley N. Hudson, Mike Hudson, Page Phillips, Jurden Phillips, David M. Hudson, Angel Phillips; and one great-granddaughter, Taylor Hudson; also surviving is a sister, Sharon Hudson Ritter and husband, Robert of Layton, UT; a brother, Michael Hudson and wife, Marsha of Knoxville, IA; a brother-in-law, Larry F. Cochrane and wife, Mary of Anderson, MO; and a sister-in-law, Clara West of Memphis, MO, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Jesse Phillips.
Funeral services were held December 23, 2003 at the Memphis Funeral Home, Memphis, MO with the Reverend Charles Hammack officiating. Music was provided by Ann Luther and Lindsay Jones. Casket bearers were James Hudson, Trevor Hudson, Gordon Hudson, John Cochrane, Larry Cochrane, Jr. and Chris Hudson. Burial was in the Abel Cemetery in Keokuk County, IA. A memorial has been established to the American Lung Association. Memphis Funeral Home, Memphis, MO was in charge of arrangements.
