Jake Brewer Earns All-Conference Honors In HAAC

The Culver-Stockton College basketball season came to a close with a 60-51 loss to Central Methodist College in the quarterfinals of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Tournament (HAAC) February 27 in Fayette. The Wildcats finish the 2002-03 season with a 15-17 overall record.

The loss also marked the end of the collegiate career of former Scotland County R-I standout Jacob Brewer. The 6'6" forward averaged 8.4 points per game and 4.9 rebounds during his final season. Brewer started all 32 games for the Wildcats and was the team leader with 35 three point field goals on the year. He also finished second on the team in rebounding and steals.

The solid season earned Brewer a birth on the HAAC all-conference team as honorable mention. It was the second time in his career that Brewer earned the honor. As a sophomore Brewer was also honorable mention on the HAAC after averaging 10.2 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.

The Wildcats team finished 15-16 overall and fifth in the HAAC with a 10-10 league mark.
