Quiz Bowl Team Remains Perfect In League Play

The Scotland County campus bowl team remained undefeated in conference play with a 275-85 victory over Milan March 18 to improve to 3-0 in league play.

The Tigers started a bit slow, blanking on the first five questions before finally getting on track to lead 60-20 after the first period. SCR-I took advantage of the bonus round to build a 140-65 advantage at the intermission and put the game away in the third period with an 80-20 run.

The Tigers had a fairly balanced scoring attack with five players contributing. Ryan Hinds topped the list with 90 points followed by Michael Lodewegen with 60 points. Jennifer Crawford added 30 points with Brian Dial contributing 20 and Dustin Roach adding 10.

The junior high team was also victorious, defeating Milan 315-150. Loren Billington led the team's high scoring trio with seven correct answers on toss-ups. Lance Smith got six toss-ups and Julie Triplett added five.
