SCR-I Finishes In Fourth Place At Redette Relays

A fourth place finish at the Redette Relays in Centerville, IA, has the Scotland County Lady Tigers track team looking for good things in 2003.

"Everything right now points to this being a great track season as our times now are better that at this point last year," said coach Josh Smith.

SCR-I scored 52 points to finish fourth in the 12-team field. The Lady Tigers sprinters booked the bulk of the points. Ali Fromm took home first place in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 16.6 seconds.

Fromm also anchored the first place sprint medley team along with Sara Eggleston, Katie Schneider and Jamie Fuller.

Amy Blomme filled in for Fromm in the 4x100 relay and teamed with Eggleston, Fuller and Schneider to earn a second place finish.

The Lady Tigers picked up third place points from Fromm in the 400-meter run, Fuller in the 100-meter hurdles and Amy Morgan in both the discus and shot put.

Angie Bulen finished in fourth place in both the discus and the shot while Blomme was fifth in the 400-meter hurdles and Kelly Cochenour was fifth in the 1,500-meter run.
