Storm Sends Show-Me Speedway Spectators Home A Little Early

Rain cut the Saturday night show a little short at the Show-Me Speedway in Downing. The go-kart track had a solid program prior to the storm with 28 racers on hand to entertain the sizeable crowd.

Wes Golden opened the show with a win in the Junior I class. He finished ahead of Tyler Greisbaum and John Fox.

The Junior II Class went to Jesse Simmons. Second place was captured by Tyler Hagar followed by Seth Shohan.

Brad March was the victor in the stock division beating out Tracy Ellis in a dash for the finish line.

The over 40 class was shortened by the storm. Rhea Golden was the winner with Mike Thelen taking second ahead of David Kirkpatrick.

The wet weather prevented the yard karts from running a main event.

Alan Garrett was the lucky winner in the 50-50 drawing.

The next race will be Saturday, July 19. Hot laps are at 6:00 p.m. with racing action starting at 7:00 p.m.
