Mustangs, Rams Have JV Tigers Off To 0-2 Start

The junior varsity boys basketball season got underway in December with a pair of tough losses for Scotland County.

The Tigers fell to Schuyler County 55-38 in the opener December 1 and followed that up the next evening with a 46-35 loss to Davis County in the home opener.

The second quarter was the difference in game one as Schuyler County outscored SCR-I 19-9 to turn a two-point lead into a much bigger cushion.

Bryce Blomme led the Tigers in scoring with 11 points on the night. Grant Blomme chimed in with nine points and Zach McBee added five.

A slow started doomed the Tigers in the season premiere at the SCR-I gymnasium. Davis County built a 25-11 lead at the intermission before the Tigers outscored the visiting Mustangs in the second half.

Grant Blomme topped the score book with eight points with McBee next in line with seven points. Bryce Blomme added six with Matt Wickert and Lathan Watson each scoring four points.
