NEMO Area Agency On Aging Public Hearings

The Northeast Missouri Area Agency on Aging will hold three public hearings in our planning and service area of Adair, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Lincoln, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Ralls, Randolph, Schuyler, Scotland, Shelby and Warren counties.

The purpose of the public hearings is to provide an opportunity for the general public, elected officials, older persons and other interested parties to review and comment on the agency’s area plan. The area plan sets forth the Area Agency’s framework for providing Older Americans Act funded elderly services within its planning and service area.

Public hearings have been scheduled in Adair, Pike and Shelby Counties as follows: January 12, 2004, 1:30 p.m., NEMO Senior Citizens (Village 76 Nutrition Center), 100 Valley Forge Dr., Kirksville; January 13, 2004, 2:00 p.m., Bowling Green Senior Center, 510 W. Champ Clark Drive, Louisiana; February 6, 2004, 9:00 a.m., Shelby County Senior Citizens Association, 112 East Chestnut, Shelbina.

For additional information call the Northeast Missouri Area Agency on Aging at 665-4682 or 800-664-6338.
