Bible Grove To Host Big Buck Show

The Big Bucks are coming to Bible Grove Saturday, March 20, and the local preservation committee hopes the visitors will bring their “bucks” with them to help support the group’s new fundraiser.

Local hunting enthusiasts are invited to the Big Buck Show at the Bible Grove School building from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Missouri Department of Conservation Agent Gary Miller will be on hand from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to answer questions from the public regarding any hunting or fishing issues.

A number of trophy buck mounts will be on display. Taxidermist John Jones will also be available to the public to discuss the mounts.

Hunters are encouraged to bring their mounts for display. There will also be scoring available for the mounts.

The admission fee for the event is $1. The kitchen will be open serving soup, sandwiches and desserts throughout the event.

“Bring the whole family out, view all the trophy deer mounts and enjoy a good meal with us,” said one of the event’s organizers, Lila Spray.
