New Voter I.D. Cards Being Mailed

Registered voters in Scotland County will begin receiving new voter identification cards this week in the mail.

“When you receive your new card, if all the information is correct, just sign the card and keep it,” said Scotland County Clerk Betty Lodewegen.

Lodewegen stated the only reason to return the card is if there is a mistake in the name spelling or a wrong address or some other form of needed correction. If corrections are needed, simply contact Lodewegen’s office.

The canvas is required every two years and must be completed 90 days prior to the primary election.
