Two Milton Men Injured In Crash

Two Milton, IA men sustained serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident near Bloomfield, IA on July 12 at 10:21 p.m.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, Cody Ruberg, 21, was traveling on 215th Street, 4.5 miles east of Bloomfield when he failed to maintain control of his Ford Tempo and the vehicle left the roadway going into a ditch causing the vehicle to roll. Ruberg and a passenger in the vehicle Waylon D. Cole, 21, both were ejected from the vehicle, which then caught fire.

Both men were taken to Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield by Davis County Ambulance. Ruberg was transferred by Air Life helicopter to the University of Iowa Medical Center in Iowa City, IA. Cole was treated and released.

The crash was investigated by the Iowa Patrol. The Davis County Sheriff’s Department, Bloomfield Police Department, Davis County Ambulance Service and Davis County Fire Department assisted at the scene. The investigation of the accident continues.
