Police Make Arrests In Residential Burglary

A residential burglary in Memphis on July 3 had police officers following a number of leads but a tip from a “Good Samaritan” ultimately led to the arrest of three suspects.

The Memphis Police Department had interviewed a number of suspects in the burglary before the tip led to the arrest of three individuals. On July 15 MPD officers arrested William Edwards of Milton, IA and Michael Addison of Memphis in connection with the break in.

Addison and Edwards were charged with burglary and face a number of additional charges. They were charged and released the following day.

Thomas Briggs of Memphis was arrested July 16. He was charged with receiving stolen property and was released on a summons.

The Memphis Police Department recovered several hundred dollars in stolen property during the investigation.
