Arbela Men Sentenced To Two Years At Leavenworth

Two Arbela men are headed to the federal penitentiary following a September 2 hearing in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Missouri in St. Louis.

Jerry Cochenour and Gary Holt were both sentenced to 24 months in prison by District Judge Catherine D. Perry.

The men were arrested October 10, 2003 on charges of conspiracy to manufacture and possess with the intent to distribute marijuana.

Cochenour and Holt pled guilty to the charge in April as part of an agreement that dismissed two additional charges.

The 24-month sentences are to be served at the federal prison camp at Leavenworth, KS. In addition to the prison term, the defendants will be required to serve three years supervised release following the completion of the imprisonment, and pay a special $100 assessment.
