Kahoka Man Seriously Hurt In Crash Near Gorin

A Kahoka man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash in Scotland County on Saturday, September 11 at 9:45 p.m.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Bobby J. Bishop was westbound on Route U in a 1991 Ford. Approximately two miles east of Gorin, Bishop lost control of the vehicle, over corrected and then went off the north side of the road. The vehicle struck an embankment and rolled, ejecting the driver.

Bishop was treated at the scene by the Scotland County Ambulance Service for serious injuries before being transported by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia.

The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Gorin Fire Department, the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department and the ambulance service.

The accident is under investigation and arrests are pending.
