Scotland County Speedway To Host Pepsi/Mountain Dew Nationals Special
The United States Modified Touring Series will be making a final visit this season to the Bentz GM Country Scotland County Speedway in Memphis, this Friday and Saturday, October 1 and 2 for the Pepsi-Mt. Dew Nationals Special.
On Friday the modifieds will be racing for $2,000 to win and on Saturday $3,000 to win. These will be two complete races. Also, racing will be the Stock Cars $300 to win Friday and $600 to win Saturday. The B-Modifieds will be racing for $250 and $400, Hobby Stocks $200 and $400, Cruisers and Pony Stocks $70 and $250. Drivers are not required to race both nights, however, if they do race Friday, the top eight finishers in each feature race will be locked into Saturday’s feature races and will redraw for starting positions. There is no entry fee for the support classes. Top modified drivers from many states will be racing.
On Friday the gates will open at 5:00 p.m., hot laps 6:30 p.m., racing 7:00 p.m. On Saturday gates will open at 4:30 p.m., hot laps 6:00 p.m., racing 6:30 p.m.
Adult ticket prices Friday will be $12, kids 6-12 $3.00. On Saturday adults $15, kids 6-12 $5.
