Memphis Woman Injured In Crash On Route A

A Memphis woman suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Route A south of Downing at 8:30 a.m. November 11.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Sherri L. Holt, 41, was southbound on Route A in a 1993 Ford pickup when the vehicle ran off the west side of the roadway. Holt apparently overcorrected, crossed the centerline several times before striking a ditch, the embankment and then overturning before coming to rest in the fence on the west side of the roadway.

Holt was treated at the scene by the Schuyler County Ambulance service.

The Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the ambulance service, the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Department and the Downing Fire Department.

Holt was cited for operating a motor vehicle on the wrong half of the roadway causing an accident.
