‘Kids Who Care’ Raising Money For Wounded Marine

Gorin R-III School, seventh and eighth grade class is starting a fund-raising project for Robbie Miller. Robbie is a soldier from Scotland County who recently was injured in Iraq. We seem to talk about character at school, but we realized this was our chance to act on character.

We, the seventh and eighth graders, would like to request donations to this fund. Our goal is for everyone in Memphis to donate $1.00 so that we might come up with $2,010.00 to help Glen and Suzie Miller in their cost of traveling to California and their stay there. Collection containers are located in several businesses around town and also a bank account at the Community Bank has been established for this project.

It is our hope and dream at this time of year that we may all put everything aside and help our local hero to come home. We will keep everyone updated on our earnings and remember... any donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support.
