Richard Lynn Schuster, 73, of Memphis, MO, died December 21, 2003, at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis, MO.

Richard was born December 17, 1930,at Wyaconda, MO, the son of Raymond W. and Mabel Schuster.

He attended grade school and high school at Wyaconda, MO.

He married Gayleen Briggs on April 10, 1952, in Memphis, MO and to this union two daughters were born.

He was a veteran of the Korean War. He loved following the St. Louis Cardinals and walking the dogs and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Gayleen of Memphis, MO; two daughters, Melissa Gaye Schuster of Memphis, MO and Jana Schuster Pisani and husband, Mike of Paris, MI; three grandchildren, William, Carina and Geoffrey Pisani of Paris, MI; three brothers, Leland Schuster and wife, Edna of Kahoka, MO, Frank Schuster of Keokuk, IA, and Gale Schuster and wife, Jean of West Point, IA.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Roberta Rule; and one sister-in-law, Helen Schuster.

The family has suggested memorials to the Scotland County Library, Scotland County Care Center and Hospice 2000, and may be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 East Madison, Memphis, MO 63555.

Memorial services were held December 28, 2003, at the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO with Rev. Charles Hammack officiating. Inurnment was in the Memphis Cemetery, Memphis, MO. Arrangements were handled by the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO.
