Norma Lea Bogener, 82, of Kahoka Senior Housing, Kahoka, MO, passed away February 8, 2004, at her home.

She was born May 8, 1921, in rural Luray, MO, the daughter of George and Helen Glasscock Hopp, Sr.

She was united in marriage to Wayne Lee Bogener on December 22, 1945 in Kahoka, MO.

He preceded her in death on May 10, 1995.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathie Lipper and her husband, Carl “Buck” of Montrose, IA and Judy Waddell and her husband, John of Kahoka, MO; one son, Gary Bogener of St. Louis, MO; one sister, Claris Kraus and her husband, Karl of Memphis, MO; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Hopp of Kahoka, MO and Joanne Pfadenhauer of Burlington, IA; two brothers-in-law, Calvin Kraus of Arbela, MO and Lester Bogener of Oregon; four grandchildren, Lori Hamner and her husband, David of Montrose, IA, Vicki Johnston and her husband, Stacey of Keokuk, IA, Jake and Chance Waddell of Kahoka, MO; two great-granddaughters, Bailie Hamner and Skyler Johnston; three great-grandsons, Trace and Gage Hamner and Lane Johnston; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Cecil Hopp and George Hopp, Jr., and four sisters, Zola Miller, Estelle Herring, Beatrice Hopp and Cleatus Kraus.

Norma was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed word search puzzles. She cherished the time she spent with her family, enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held February 11, 2004, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Pastor Shawn McAfee officiating. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery, Kahoka, MO. Memorials may be made to the Clark County Nursing Home.
