DENNIS RAY FORQUER
(9/4/1952 - 4/5/2004)



Dennis Ray Forquer, 51, of Memphis, MO, died April 5, 2004 at Kirksville Manor Care Center in Kirksville, MO.

Dennis was born September 4, 1952, in Kirksville, MO, the son of Raymond and Bonnie (Fogle) Forquer.

He attended grade school in Rutledge, MO and high school in Memphis and Gorin, MO.

In 1971 he served in the United States Army. He loved to fish and hunt. He raised and trained beagle dogs in his earlier years.

Dennis worked for the water filtration plant in Edina, MO for 13 years until it closed, then came to the City of Memphis water plant to work until his health failed him.

When he was a young man, he became a member of the United Methodist Church. He was known to be a giving man and loved to give gifts even if it was a piece of candy. He loved to spend time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Forquer; a brother, David Jay Forquer; grandparents, Henry and Hattie Forquer and Walter and Thelma Fogle.

Surviving are his mother, Bonnie Forquer of Baring, MO; three sisters, Nancy McKim and husband, David of Kirksville, MO, Judy Thomas of Moberly, MO, and Twila Jones and husband, Randy of Green Castle, MO; several nieces and nephews.

The family has suggested memorials to the donorís choice or to the family, and may be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison, Memphis, MO 63555.

Funeral services were held April 8, 2004 at the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO, with Rev. Robert Wallace and Rev. David McKim, officiating. Music was provided by Nancy McKim, Melody Buchheit, Twila Jones, and Sandra Swearingen. Pallbearers were Ronnie Schrage, Don Woodward, Donnie Schrage, Darrell Howard, Craig Swearingen, and Darrell Monroe. Military Graveside Honors by the Wallace W. Gillespie V.F.W. Post #4958, Memphis, MO, and interment were held at the Pauline Cemetery at Rutledge, MO.
