DOROTHY B. KIEKEL

Dorothy B. Kiekel, 83, of Perry, MO, died May 12, 2004, at South Hampton Place in Columbia, MO.

She was born March 27, 1921, in Des Moines County, IA, to Ben Crow and Irma Hoobler Crow.

She married Cecil Kiekel on April 4, 1946, and he preceded her in death on April 10, 2004.

Dorothy enjoyed helping Cecil with the furniture projects, but she enjoyed her grandchildren the most.

Dorothy is survived by three children, Barbara Swearingen and husband, Alan, Bonnie Stickler and husband, James, all of Blue Springs, MO, and Ronald Kiekel and wife, Sandra of Dittmer, MO; six grandchildren, Shiloh Cochrane and husband, James, Brittany Kiekel, Shawn Swearingen and wife, Jenny, Travis Swearingen, Brian Stickler and Mark Stickler; a brother, Leroy Crow and wife, Charlotte of Seattle, WA; a sister, Audrey Brockway and husband, Carl; and a sister-in-law, Thelma Crow of Burlington, IA.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers, Garrett, Bill and Red; and one sister, Hazel.

Graveside services were held May 17, 2004, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Community Hospices of America, 3600 Interstate 70 Dr. S.E., Columbia, MO 65201.
