RAYMOND B. CALVERT, JR.

Raymond B. Calvert, Jr., 75, of Mesa, AZ, passed away on May 16, 2004, in Mesa, AZ.

He was born May 19, 1928, in Sedgwick, CO, the son of Raymond and Christine (Stutz) Calvert.

He was united in marriage to Normalee H. (Henderson) Calvert on August 28, 1948, in Davenport, IA.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Mr. Calvert was a member of the Davenport Lodge AF & AM No. 37, Consistory and KAABA Shrine.

Prior to his retiring and moving to Arizona in June 1974, he worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for 25 years.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Normalee; mother, Christine Lowery of Clark County Nursing Home, Kahoka, MO; daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Kenneth Long of Mesa, AZ; brother, Allen Calvert of Davenport, IA; sister, Lois Humes of Wyaconda, MO; and grandson, Damien Long, Bolingbrook, IL; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; and a son, Jerry.

Graveside services were held June 12, 2004, at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport, IA. Masonic services were conducted by Davenport Lodge No. 37. Memorials may be made to RTA Hospice, 1102 E. McDowell Rd., Phoenix, AZ.
