Harold E. Mathes, 81, died suddenly on June 30, 2004, in Albuquerque, NM.

He was born March 22, 1923, at Crawford, MO, the son of Okla and Bessie Walker Mathes.

Harold was with the Boeing Company of Seattle, WA, for many years and never lost his interest in airplanes. He was a retired member of the United Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 192, Cheyenne, WY.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Dorothy; five children, Essie, Mary, Ronald and wife, Lavonne, Perry and Marguarite; four step-children, Patty Dyhes and husband, David, Dan Stuart and Nancy Jones; sisters, Pauline Hohstadt, Cleo Woods and husband, Leo, Lela Trueblood, and Alice Harvey, all of Memphis, MO; one brother, Wayne Mathes and wife, Joyce, of Arkansas; eight grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces.

He will be missed by many.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service by the Moose Lodge #1517 of which Harold was a 20-year member will be held on July 9, 2004 in Albuquerque, NM.
