Anthony J. Monetti, Sr., better known as Tony, of Quincy, IL, died July 13, 2004, in Blessing Hospital, Quincy, IL.

He was born March 12, 1959, in Quincy, IL.

Tony graduated from Quincy Senior High School in 1977. He then went onto Quincy Technical Schools, where he studied auto body repair. He was employed in the field of building demolition and remodeling until he became ill in 2002.

Tony was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed camping, bicycling and cooking.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Kay; and a stepson, Jorden, both of Quincy, IL; two sons, Anthony Jr. and Steven; a daughter; his mother, Shirley Kealen of Quincy, IL; three sisters, Mary Droege and Marilyn Sevier, both of Memphis, MO; and Pamela Data of Manito; a brother, Tim Monetti of Quincy, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Robert F. Kealen.

Services were conducted July 16, 2004, in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home, Quincy, IL. Private graveside services were held in Mendon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
