Anna M. Carder of Prineville, OR, died of natural causes. She was 86.

Mrs. Carder was born October 16, 1917 in Karval, CO to Albert and Mary Elizabeth (Chambers) Justice.

She graduated from high school in Gorin, MO in 1935.

John A. and Zelda (Wiley) Chambers, life-time residents of Scotland County were her grandparents.

She married James Carder of Rutledge, MO, on March 17, 1936, in Macon, MO. They moved to Prineville, OR, after their marriage.

Mrs. Carder worked part time at Copeland Lumber Company until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of the Prineville First Baptist Church and enjoyed the XYZ Club. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Albert of Gearhard, OR; two daughters, Pam Moseley and Judy Major, both of Bend, OR; two brothers, John Justice of Smithville, MO and Ace (A.C.) Justice of Burleson, TX; two sisters, Betty Gold of Baton Rouge, LA, and Erma Palmer of Selmar, CA; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Hallie.

The funeral service was held September 1, 2004, at the First Baptist Church, Prineville, OR, officiated by Dr. Barry Gridley. Prineville Funeral Home was in charge of services with interment in Juniper Haven Cemetery, Prineville, OR.
