Dixie Lee Rekus, 80, of Lake Ozark, MO, died October 2, 2004, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Colony, MO, on October 17, 1923, a daughter of the late Orval Martin and Maud Delia (Stutenburg) Guinn.

On October 27, 1945, in Agency, she was married to John Junior Rekus, who preceded her in death on October 22, 1991.

She moved to Lake Ozark, MO in 1968, where she and her husband, in partnership with another couple, owned Ozark Village Resort on Horseshoe Bend. She later worked for Arnold’s Gifts in Osage Beach. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Osage Beach, MO, where she had served as church organist.

Survivors include one son, Roger Rekus of Iberia, MO; one daughter, Linda Glasgow of Republic, MO; one brother, Martin Guinn of Colony, MO; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A brother, Victor Guinn, and an infant sister, Vernon Guinn, preceded her in death.

Services were held October 5, 2004, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia, MO, with Bro. Stan Way officiating. Graveside services were held October 6, 2004, at Harmony Grove Cemetery near Colony, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center. Rekus Funeral Homes of Iberia, MO was in charge of arrangements.
