NADINE CHANCELLOR

Nadine Chancellor, 74, of Kirksville, MO, passed away October 11, 2004, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

The daughter of Silas and Jewell (Andres) Winn, she was born May 26, 1930, in Schuyler County, MO.

On August 24, 1947, in Memphis, MO, she was united in marriage to Lee B. Chancellor.

Nadine is survived by her husband of 57 years, Lee; three children, Brenda Schneider and husband, Lee of Cape Girardeau, MO, Jerry Chancellor of Kentucky and Lezlie Rush and husband, Bill of New Sharon, IA; four grandchildren, Tom Moyer and wife, Alicia, Aaron Schneider, Whitnie and Brendon Rush; two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Dakotah Moyer; four brothers, Charles Winn and wife, Barb of Kirksville, MO, Albert Winn and wife, Druzella of Memphis, MO, Gene Winn and wife, Barb of Hallsville, MO, and Lonnie Winn and wife, Sharon of Boonville, MO; two sisters, Virginia Gray and John Wayne Bowers of Kirksville, MO, and Marjorie McFarland and Bob Davenport of Kirksville, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Nadine attended school in Downing, MO and graduated from the Downing High School with the class of 1947. She and Lee moved to Rutledge, MO and ran the Chancellor Hardware. She then drove the school bus and was a cook at the Rutledge Elementary School until she retired. They moved to Kirksville in 1997 and she worked for Pyramid Home Services until her health failed.

She was a member of the Rutledge Chapter #343 O.E.S. and the Rutledge Community Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, playing cards and gardening.

Funeral services were held October 15, 2004, at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jim Campbell, officiating. Burial was in the Pauline Cemetery in Rutledge, MO. Pallbearers were Rex Winn, Jimmie Winn, Bob Davenport, Ronald York, Wayne Winn, and Brent Winn. Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
