Clyde Roscoe Jenkins, 80, of Loraine, IL, died November 10, 2004, in Blessing Hospital, Quincy, IL.

Born April 25, 1924, in Keene Township, IL, he was a son of Arthur and Ruby B. Hunter Jenkins.

He married Rosemary E. Eicken, May 24, 1946, in Golden, IL. She survives.

Mr. Jenkins was a lifelong resident of Loraine, IL. He farmed in the Loraine area and had attended Loraine schools. He retired as an engineer at the Illinois Veterans Home. He had been a member of Adams County Farm Bureau, the former Loraine Masonic Lodge and had been Democratic Committeeman for Keene Township.

Also surviving is a son, Gerald Jenkins and his wife, Therese of Loraine, IL; a daughter, Sharon Moore and her husband, Rob of Memphis, MO; a brother, Marion of Kingman, AZ; two grandchildren, Stephanie Ogle and her husband, Tim of Loraine, IL and Chase Moore of Memphis, MO; and a great-grandson, Hunter Ogle of Loraine, IL.

Funeral services were held November 13, 2004, in Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon, IL, by Rev. Oliver Taube. There were special songs. Burial was in New Loraine Cemetery in Loraine, IL. Honorary pallbearers were Marion Jenkins, Rick Howell, Dr. Richard Gregory, William Howell, Burle Brown, Roger Hopson and Charles “Bud” Kinman. Active pallbearers were Gerald Jenkins, Rob Moore, Tim Ogle, Chase Moore, Charles Jenkins, and Randy Jenkins. Memorials may still be made to North Adams Home Alzheimer’s Unit.
