Ross Earl McKinzie, 74, of Kahoka, MO died Saturday, November 20, 2004 at his home.

He was born March 7, 1930 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Riley and Alberta Ross McKinzie. He was united in marriage to Becky Nelson on January 23, 1971 in Keokuk, IA. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters LouAnn Odom and her husband Gerry of Lee’s Summit, MO and Heidi Hays and her husband Ambrose of Monroe City, MO, three grandsons, Geoffrey and Lucas Odom, both of Columbia, MO and Patrick Odom of Lee’s Summit, MO, and one sister, Marianna Wilson of Wayland, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ross graduated high school in Kahoka with the class of 1947. He was a member of the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA. He was also a 50-year member of The Hiram Lodge #362. He had farmed and was an auctioneer for most of his life.

Funeral services were held November 23, 2004 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The Cancer Center at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
