Lady Tigers Get Second Straight Comeback Win

SCR-I rallied for a 46-43 victory against Canton to improve to 7-6 on the season.

For the second straight night the Scotland County Lady Tigers came from behind for a narrow victory as SCR-I outlasted Canton 46-43 for the road victory January 16.

A dismal second period saw Scotland County fall behind 24-16 at the intermission. But the Lady Tigers turned the tables in the third period holding Canton to just five points to regain the 29-28 lead.

The two teams picked it up on offense in the final eight minutes with Scotland County holding on for the three-point win after matching their entire first half output in the last period alone.

Ali Fromm topped the scorebook with 17 points while Jessie Cotton added 15 points for the high-scoring guard tandem.

The win helped Scotland County get over the hump to 7-6 on the year. Cantonís record dropped to 7-5.
