Tigers Rally Past Rams 48-43 In 3rd Place Game

After struggling at times to put the ball in the basket at the North Shelby Tournament, the Scotland County offense came alive in the fourth quarter as the Tigers went on a 21-13 run down the stretch to erase a third period deficit and beat Schuyler County 48-43.

Danny Roach and Greg Neagle combined for 12 points during the key run that helped the Tigers improve their record to 8-8 on the year.

SCR-I led 8-7 after the first period but fell behind 21-19 at halftime. The Rams held onto a 30-27 advantage with eight minutes left in the game before the Tigers rallied.

Cody Holt led Scotland County with 12 points. Neagle closed out the night with 11 points and Aaron Dale contributed nine.

In the championship game it was #2 seed LaPlata upsetting North Shelby, the tourney’s top seed, 48-46.
