Tigers Bash Brashear 64-50 Behind Cody Holtís 24 Points

Coming into a new coaching position, Scotland County varsity boys coach Ryan Brown had the reassuring fact that he had three returning starters from the 2002-03 season to build around.

What Brown may not have realized was that his leading scorer would be a kid who didnít even play the year before.

After sitting out his junior year, Cody Holt returned to the court for his final season and is making a big impact.

The senior forward scored 24 points Monday night in the opening round of the North Shelby Tournament to lead SCR-I to a 64-50 win over Brashear.

The victory helped the Tigers even their season record at 7-7.
