Putnam County Knocks Off SCR-I JV Boys 56-26

Baskets were tough to come by for the Scotland County junior varsity boys on January 29 when the Tigers took on Putnam County. The Midgets held SCR-I to just nine field goals en route to a 56-26 win over Scotland County.

The Tigers fell behind 12-5 in the first quarter. Zach McBee knocked down a three pointer and Chris Humes and Colby Brown each hit a couple buckets in the second period to keep SCR-I close, trailing 23-16 at the intermission.

Putnam County blew the game open in the third quarter with a 23-5 run to seal the victory.

Bryce Blomme led Scotland County with seven points. Brown finished with six points. Tanner Michael led all scorers with 13 points for Putnam County.
