Raiders Halt SCR-Iís Climb Up Conference Standings

North Shelby dropped the Scotland County varsity campus bowl record to 3-2 in league play with a 140-80 defeat in Tri-Rivers Conference play March 18.

SCR-I kept the contest close through three periods of play before the Raiders pulled away down the stretch.

Jason Findling answered three toss-up questions while Nick Oldham, Michelle Lodewegen and Jessica Erwin each had 10 points.

Scotland Countyís junior high team continued its winning ways by besting North Shelby 390-150. The Tigers were nearly perfect in the first quarter, answering 11 of the 15 questions to take a commanding 110-0 lead. Julie Triplett led the way with 110 points. Lance Smith finished with 60 points while Loren Billington chimed in with the correct answers to five toss-up questions.
