Tigers Insure Winning League Record With Victory Over Rams

The Scotland County varsity campus bowl team insured a winning record in the Tri-Rivers Conference with a 145-50 victory over Schuyler County on March 22.

The Tigers built a 40-10 lead in the first period and never trailed from that point.

Jason Findling answered seven toss-up questions in the winning effort. Jon Keller and Jessica Erwin added 20 points each and Danny Roach had 10 points.

The victory improved Scotland County’s record to 4-2 in league play with one remaining match.

In the junior high match, the Tigers got a bit of a scare in the first half but returned to form with a dominating final two periods to dispatch the Rams 405-265.

Schuyler County stayed within striking distance early, trailing by just 30 points at the break. The Tigers outscored Schuyler County 210-100 down the stretch to remain unbeaten on the year.

Julie Triplett topped the scorebook with 90 points. Lance Smith answered eight toss-up questions and Loren Billington accounted for 70 points.
