Lady Tigers To Host Basketball Shooting Camp For Area Kids

Girls in grades kindergarten through fifth grade will have the chance to gain valuable instruction from Scotland County R-I Coach Kelli Swearingen and a host of SCR-I varsity players at the Scotland County Lady Tigers Shooting Camp to be held April 17th.

“It is never too early to have your daughter start learning the basic fundamentals in the art of shooting a basketball,” Swearingen stated.

The one-day camp will be held at the SCR-I High School Gym from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The cost is $12. Applications are available at the school and can be mailed to the coach c/o SCR-I High School, RR 3 Box 19A, Memphis, MO 63555. For more information, contact Kelli Swearingen at 465-8901.

“After a morning of instruction, the girls will walk away with a women’s size basketball of their own to practice their skills at home,” Swearingen said.
