Golfers Win By 15 Strokes At Tolona Event

The Scotland County golf team had plenty of breathing room Monday night as the varsity squad swept a triangular meet at Tolona Golf Course April 5.

SCR-I bested Canton and Highland by a 15-stroke margin to win the event. The Tigers shot a combined 176 led by Corvin Drummond who won the individual medalist honors with a round of 39.

Logan Trueblood scored a 43 followed by Marcus Shalley with a 46 and Kyle Lister with a 48. Zach McBee rounded out the varsity team with a round of 50.

The SCR-I junior varsity squad actually tied Highland for second in the event with a score of 191.

Matt Wickert led the team with a round of 45. Nick Oldham shot a 47 and Jessie Mattingly finished with a 49. Colby Brown and Andy Cowell each finished with 50s.
