Junior High Campus Bowl Team Stretches Unbeaten Streak Through Two Seasons

The 2004 campus bowl regular seasons came to a close April 5 at SCR-I High School with a split for the Tigers teams.

The varsity squad saw its Tri-Rivers Conference fall to 4-3 as a fourth quarter collapse allowed Putnam County to rally for a 170-105 victory to leap frog past SCR-I in the league standings.

The Tigers held a 95-55 advantage after three quarters of play before the Midgets went on a 115-10 run over the final 10 questions to take home the win.

Jason Findling answered three toss-up questions to lead SCR-I. Jon Keller and Danny Roach each had 20 points.

The season finale was much brighter for the Tigers junior high team, which remained undefeated over the past two seasons with a 335-290 victory over Putnam County.

The Tigers actually trailed by five points with just four questions remaining in the game before nailing all of the 30 possible points on question #47 to create some breathing room.

Julie Triplett paced the scoring by answering 11 toss-up questions correctly. Lance Smith scored 70 points and Loren Billington added 30 points in the win.
