Campus Bowl Season Ends With District Loss

The 2004 campus bowl season came to an end for Scotland County at the Class 2 District Four Academic Tournament held April 17 at Putnam County High School in Unionville.

The Tigers started the day well with an opening-round victory over Knox County by a final score of 150-125.

Jason Findling and Jon Keller each answered four toss-up questions correctly for Scotland County in the win.

Westran set the Tigers back a step in round two with a 145-110 defeat. Findling and Keller again combined for 80 points to lead the Tigers in scoring.

Glasgow bounced the Tigers out of the tournament in the morning round, handing SCR-I a 190-140 defeat.

Keller was top scorer with 40 points. Findling and Michelle Lodewegen each answered three toss-up questions in the losing effort.
