SCR-I Campus Bowl Standout Earns Honors

Scotland County campus bowl team’s most valuable player Jason Findling raked in a pair of additional honors last week as the SCR-I senior was named to the Tri-Rivers All-Conference team as well as the Class 2 District 4 Campus Bowl All-District Team.

Findling finished with the fourth highest scoring average in league play this year, leading the Tigers to a 4-3 mark in conference play. The senior answered an average of 4.29 toss-up questions per league game. James Pflum of Putnam County was the league MVP with a 9.29 scoring average. Only eight players from the league’s eight teams were selected for the honor.

Findling averaged 53 points per game during the district tournament to be named to the all-district team. That represented the seventh highest output among players in the tourney.
