Shelbina Golf Course Takes Toll On Tigers

The Scotland County golf team traveled to Shelbina Lakeside Golf Course April 30 to participate in the South Shelby Golf Invitational.

SCR-I took fourth place in the event with a score of 180. Monroe City won the event with a team tally of 153. The host squad was second with a 172 followed by Palmyra at 178. The Tigers finished ahead of Paris (183), Highland (184) and Centralia (196).

Monroe City’s Andy Copper won the individual medalist honors with a round of 34. His teammate Stephen Moss was second with a score of 36. Corvin Drummond finished sixth overall with a round of 40.

Marcus Shalley shot a 44 and Zach McBee finished with a 45. Logan Trueblood and Kyle Lister each finished the day with scores of 51.
