Lady Tigers Take Third At Schuyler Co.

The Tigers chased the Rams and the Eagles but ended up trailing the Midgets as the Scotland County R-I girls track team finished third at the Schuyler County Relays on April 27 in Queen City.

SCR-I did have four first place finishes in the event. Jamie Fuller continued to dominate the hurdle events, taking top honors in both the 100-meter low hurdles and the 300-meter low hurdles.

Fuller had a hand in a third win as she teamed up with Jessie Cotton, Ciera Turner and Ali Fromm to take the 4x400-meter relay. The teamís other top performance came in the 3,200 meter run where Leslie Duley outlasted the competition.

Duley earned second place in the 1,600 meter run while Cotton was the runner-up in the triple jump with a leap of 28í8.

The squad of Sara Eggleston, Katie Schneider, Cotton and Turner was second in the 4x100-meter relay.

Angie Bulen earned second place points in the discus with teammate Becky Miller finishing fourth in the event. Miller also took fourth in the shot put where Bulen finished fifth.

Eggleston, Cotton, Fromm and Schneider combined to take third place in the 4x200-meter relay.

Eggleston finished fifth in the 100-meter dash and Fromm was fifth in the 200-meter dash.
