Lister, Matlock Among Award Winners At Basketball Camp

The Scotland County Lady Tigers basketball camp was held June 8-11 at the SCR-I gym with girls in grades three through eight participating.

Kelly Lister and Tara Matlock were the winners in the Hot Shot competition held for all campers.

Each day coach Kelli Swearingen selected a pair of Campers of the Day. Tuesday’s winners were Cali Holt and Mckinsay Cooley. On Wednesday the winners were Bobbi Matthews and Lister. Thursday the awards went to Anna Duley and Brooklynne Simpson. Hilary Harris and Cheyenne Ward took top honors on the final day of camp.

Free throw competitions were also held in each age group. Abbey Duley was the fourth grade champion. Holt was the top shooter in fifth grade while Ashley Tague won a shoot out to claim the honors for the sixth grade. Cooley made the most free throws for the seventh graders and Matlock was crowned the winner in the eighth grade contest.
