Timber Ridge Hosts Couples Golf Tourney

Thirteen teams took part in the annual two couples scramble golf tournament held at Timber Ridge Golf Course on Sunday, August 1st.

The championship flight was won by the team of Shirey and Dean with a score of 57, 11-under par for the 18-hole event. The Parrish and Frosch couples combined for a 61 to finish second ahead of Jed and Keri Hinds and Denise Smith and John Kirby.

In the A Flight it was Max and Shirley Eggleston teaming up with Doug Shalley and Leslie Clark at four-under par. The team of Shively and Dudgeon was just one stroke off with a 65 to take second. They edged out Martin and Walter in a tie-breaker.

Prizes for the contest were donated by Crystalís Country Style, Hinds Realty, AALCO Athletic Equipment and Primrose Realty.

Hole two featured the longest drive for both men and women. Kevin Fromm took the menís prize while Keri Hinds claimed the womenís.

Steve Phillips was the winner on hole #3 with the closest tee shot to the pin. Jed Hinds sank the longest putt on #6 while Tammie Foster did likewise on #9.
